Vehicle Description
This spectacular Cabriolet was ordered in India Guardsman Red with Champagne Leather interior, complete with piped full power seating, and velour carpet deviated to match the seats! Further optioned with Porsche 16" alloy wheels with crested rim caps, at the time a pricy option, the Porsche Cellular Phone console with hands-free, and it was portable! Today of course, the Analog phone is of no use, but see the pics below, where I use it to cradle my I-Phone 5! The 93 models were standard with quite a few "earlier year options",like climate control air and heat, full electrically heatable and adjustable rear view mirrors, fully tinted glass with graduated tint and hidden windshield antenna, airbags for driver and passenger, anti-lock braking system with vented rotors and big calipers, stabilizer bars front and rear, power steering, central locking system with alarm, cruise control, heated windshield washer nozzles, and stereo cassette system with 4 speakers. Of course, the twin plug 3.6 liter engine with 247HP, as well as the G-50 5-speed transmission, coil-over suspension, and toe-correcting rear suspension brought this car to a new high level of performance. In Cabriolet form, they only built 600 of 'em for the USA and Canadian market combined! Considering that the split was about 60% US to 40% CN, and included C-2 and C-4 models with 5-speed and Tiptronic, there can't be too many of these around! Especially as original and fine as this one! With an MSRP of about seventy-nine thousand, it's still worth its original price today! Rated a solid #1 car Delivered new from the Porsche dealer in Wallingford Ct. The first owner had it serviced annually by the Porsche dealers in Long Island thru 2003. Traded back to the Porsche dealer with 20k.miles, It's 2nd. owner, continued the officious service at the Southhampton dealer thru 2009 when we purchased it with just 30k.miles. We sold it to a customer from Pittsburgh, who once again continued a very diligent service routine at Auto Palace, until we traded it again in 2011 with just 32k.miles! Ironically we sold it to another customer, also from Pittsburgh, and they continued the service regimen with Auto Palace. Then, in 2014 with just 34k.miles, and hundreds of coats of wax, we sold it to a customer in Maryland, who kept it in his collection until May of this year with 37k.miles. We happily bought it back and sent it to ur local Porsche guru, Heistand Automotive for a full PPI, Inspection and Emission Certification. It's ready again for its next caretaker! www.aicauto.com
