1999 Ford Mustang Convertible A redesigned SN-95 Mustang came on December 26, 1998 for the 1999 model year with production starting in November 1998. Drivetrain KISS (keep it simple stupid), does not apply here with numerous pipes, tubes and connections all working together on the 4.6 Liter SOHC V8. This amalgamation is electronically fuel injected and is attached to a 5-speed manual transmission. Add some 93 octane go juice and we just flew out the garage door. Undercarriage Nicely kept, with no real remarkable remarks to be made. We do see independent front suspension, and 4 link on the rear, power disc brakes on all 4 corners, and an 8.8" 3.27 rear.
