Vehicle Description
All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. I can assist with financing and transport as needed. What else compares to the Plymouth Prowler? This may be the most outrageous car produced in the last 50 years. Originally designed by Chip Foose, it was a hot rod from the start. Like it or not, the Prowler thumbs its nose at convention and practicality in favor of a carefree style that provides loads of fun. This accident-free 1999 model has just 36k miles and is a real standout with its factory red paint. It absolutely cannot be missed! The black convertible top is easy to operate and in great condition. The factory chrome wheels (17” front, 20” rear) have been fitted with conventional Goodyear Eagle tires for a better ride than the factory run-flats. The engine is Chrysler’s aluminum 3.5L V6 rated at 253hp which moves the car along just fine. The rear mounted 4-speed automatic transmission gives the car a perfect 50/50 weight distribution. There are 4-wheel power disc brakes and power steering. Everything you’d wish for in a street rod! The Prowler also has extensive aluminum construction which was cutting edge in its day. And the racing style front suspension with inboard pushrod coilovers is downright gorgeous. The black leather interior sits you deep in the cabin to allow for a very low roofline; I’ve seen chopped cars with more windshield pillar than a Prowler. Ingress/egress is a little different with the tapered body, but once seated you will find more space than you might expect. The center mounted gauges really look slick and are easy to read. There are steering wheel controls for the radio as well. Air conditioning, cruise control, power windows; again, everything you always wanted in a hot rod. The Prowler is not a car without compromise, having blind spots, a lack of storage space, small fuel tank, etc. Just like a slammed 1933 Ford, it is not a car for everyone. But if this is the type of car that scratches your itch then nothing will make you happier.
