Vehicle Description
12,702 miles Clean CarFax 1 of 144 ‘Triple Black’ 6 speeds Documentation from SLP Assembly Plant for SS upgrades Original window sticker and addendum Grille, Chrome Wheels and Dual exhaust enhancements Impeccable condition The 2001 production year was the shortest of any Chevy Camaro to date. The base powerplant for the 2001 Camaro remained the 200hp V6, with a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. But Z/28 power was boosted to 310hp from the 5.7-liter, 346ci V8. SLP Engineering ‒ known for working magic with GM’s F-Bodies since the late ʼ80s ‒ supplied the parts to turn a Z/28 into an SS. And in doing so boosted the horsepower up, yet again, to 325. Only 1,452 Z/28 convertibles were produced in 2001, and about half of them had the 6-speed manual gearbox. Rarity really sets in when you factor this example is only one of 144 triple-black, 6-speed convertibles. Ticking almost every box on the options list ‒ including leather-trimmed bucket seats, acceleration slip regulation, Hurst short-throw shifter and the premium Monsoon sound system ‒ this is a fully loaded, high-performance Camaro with few rivals. Showing just over 12,700 miles on the odometer, with a clean CARFAX, it comes unmodified with all the original equipment and tasteful upgrades documented from the dealer, including front grille with SS center logo, ZR1 chrome-plated aluminum wheels and dual-performance exhaust system. Complete with factory keys and remotes, correct Super Sport floor mats, factory parade boot cover and documentation that includes its original Window Sticker, odometer disclosure statement and dealer addendum for the upgrades, this Camaro SS is about as close to perfection as one gets.
