The beefy steering wheel is molded so that it feels good in your hands and provides good control. The dash has a 150 MPH speedometer along with a tach in the center with gauges for water temp, oil pressure, voltage and fuel across the bottom. The center console has a 35th Anniversary Camaro badge just above the FM/CD player. Below that is the ventilation controls which include A/C and a shifter for the 4-speed automatic trans rises from the center console. Open the hood and you will find a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 Police Interceptor motor nestled down in the engine bay. Alas, it is the same powerhouse with over 300 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque that is available to all Camaro buyers, but with a couple additional heavy-duty features added for improved durability and reliability in light of its intended mission. A power steering oil cooler keeps temps under control while under pressure and a high output alternator may not be needed without all the extra cop stuff drawing off of it, but that just means it isn't working as hard these days and should last longer. Power flows back through that 4-speed trans to a posi rear end with 3.23 gearing and power, anti-lock, 4-wheel disc brakes insure that you can haul this ride down from speed in a hurry. The rubber meets the road through 245/50R16 tires mounted all around on alloy wheels with Camaro center caps.
