The Bentley Continental GT, introduced for the 2003 model year, was significant in the fact it was the first new design introduced under the management of Volkswagen AG after their acquisition of the company in 1998 and was the first Bentley model to be manufactured with mass production techniques. The Continental was priced significantly lower than previous Bentley models, allowing the marque to appeal to a much larger buyer’s market.

Power for the Bentley came from a 6.0L twin turbocharged 12-cylinder engine displacing in excess of 550 horsepower with a rated 479 lb/ft. of torque, making the car very responsive. Power was transmitted to the all-wheel-drive system through a six-speed automatic transmission.

The first-generation Continental GT was built through the 2011 model year and received numerous upgrades during that production run. Initially released as a two-door fastback, a two-door convertible (GTC) joined the lineup in the fall of 2006 and continued in production through to the 2011 model year. Both body styles had 2+2 seating capable of accommodating four adults. Bentley also offered a package of options, the Mulliner Driving Specifications, that offered an expanding array of amenities as the years progressed. These were both performance and appearance related. While mass production techniques were utilized in producing the Continental GT, it was still a relatively rare car. Production figures from Bentley indicate a total of 4,093 Continental GT’s were built with no breakdown as to hardtops and convertibles.

This 2011 Bentley Continental GTC Mulliner is an excellent example of a Grand Tourer class car and appears in excellent condition with very low miles since new. The car has been in the possession of the present owner since September 2014 and we believe the odometer mileage of just under 14,000 miles to be correct. Finished in black livery with a tan leather interior, the car presents exceptionally well for a vehicle nearing 10 model years old. Under the present owner the car has been driven occasionally and stored in a humidity-controlled environment.
