In 2011, Porsche created the final and best 997, what has become one of the best 911s of all time. A driver-focused GT3 RS with a 4.0-liter 500 horsepower engine, titanium connecting rods, forged pistons and a crankshaft lifted from the GT3 RSR race car: The 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0.
Made in a limited quantity of 600 for the entire world, with only 141 available for the U.S., the car was an instant classic. Making full power at 8,250rpm with a stratospheric redline of 8,500rpm, the RS 4.0 was the ultimate 911. Paired with rear wheel drive, a 6-speed manual transmission, last 911 model with hydraulic power steering - the 997 GT3 RS 4.0 is considered one of the best driving 911s, period!
Purchased in Ohio January of 2012, the first owner would keep the car for the next 3 years in pristine condition. During this time, the GT3 was serviced at Delta Imports. In 2020 the GT3 was sold in Florida, to its most recent owner. A factory titanium exhaust was installed by the Porsche dealership and a full PPF clear wrap to protect the car's paint finish.
Upon arriving at Canepa, vehicles are treated to the "Canepa Difference" This includes a complete mechanical inspection. Everything is serviced as needed, and road tested by Bruce Canepa. It is finished off with a concours show quality detail. The undersides and wheel wells are hand cleaned, ensuring that each surface was spotless. The trunk, interior and engine bay are also cleaned, ensuring that the GT3 RS presented as though it had just rolled onto the showroom floor. With the remaining step being the exterior, the original paint is polished and waxed to "as new" finish.
With low mileage, very limited production volume, and its 500-horsepower engine, 6 speed transmission driving experience, the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 is an extremely rare Porsche car built for the most exciting driving fun!
