Vehicle Description
Fully sorted and ready to roll, this pickup recently received a roof-to-rocker makeover, and a coat of blue and white two-stage paint over solid panels that received a thorough massage during their restoration. At the front of the truck is a chrome grille, a fresh chrome bumper, halogen headlights and a shaved hood. The one-piece windshield leads a 5-window cab. The wood bed is detailed with polished rail plugs and stainless skid strips, and the smooth tailgate has fresh chains and a custom roll pan fitted with flush taillights. Under the hood resides a 350ci LS1 V8 engine. Straight from the factory, this fully sorted mill combines a sturdy aluminum block with lightweight aluminum heads, coil-near-plug ignition and aluminum flattop pistons. A factory-spec serpentine system spins a polished alternator and modern air conditioning compressor at the sides of a polished Street & Performance air cleaner. The engine is also equipped with a factory-spec throttle body to a composite intake, stock internals, GM electronic fuel injection, a pair of PaceSetter long-tube headers, and a large aluminum radiator fitted with a large electric puller fan. The dressed LS1 sends power to a 4L65E 4-speed automatic transmission that spins a Ford 9" axle fitted with 3.56 gears. The drivetrain pushes a Fatman Fabrications frame on a custom 4-link suspension with modern coilover shocks. The upgraded front clip is fitted with tubular control arms and power rack & pinion steering. Stopping power is provided by 4-wheel power disc brakes. True dual exhaust breathes through MagnaFlow mufflers. Polished billet Boyd Coddington directional wheels twist Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR tires. Inside the cab, a custom Chevrolet-branded dash hangs a locking glovebox and Classic Instruments gauges above controls for modern air conditioning. Modern leather seats featuring power adjustment for the driver, frame a small, custom LED-lit console that positions a tall armrest and dual cup holders between a Kicker amp and subwoofer, and a remote-controlled Pioneer CD/DVD player. The interior also features color-keyed floor mats, billet foot pedals, polished handles, custom headliner, billet mirror and a tilt steering column with a polished billet Hot Rods by Boyd steering wheel.
