Beautifully Rotisserie Restoration, 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner, 5 years, body off, that Commenced Sept 2007 and completed July 2012. Just in time for, the Annual "International Ford Retractable Club" Convention. This years Convention held July 2012, in Des Monte, Iowa, Car was Judged by IFRC Judges over two days of different Judging teams. Car was Awarded 1008 points out of 1020, 13 Judging sheets are available. Best 1959 Ford Retractable, won Showcase Car and Registry # 216 medallion, assigned to Car's VIN# H9RW101847. 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner Retractable Hard Top, H-Code FE 352 v8 engine w/4bl carburetor 300 hp with Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed Automatic Transmission and rear end completely rebuild. New Original Geranium & Colonial White Style-tone paint job. New Original (OEM) matching interior with period correct Plastic seat covers. All wiring harness were replaced. Frame was sand blasted and power coated. All Chrome has been rechromed and Stainless reworked and buffed. This car is a fully equipped PS,PB, PW,PS, A/C, electric wipers, Original Padded dash & Sun Visors, Impact steering wheel. This is a "Fairlane 500" VERY REAR originally built in San Jose, Ca. on September 30, 1958. As shown on Trim Plate below Date code 30J. Ford only produced the Fairlane 500 for a short three and a half months in the Fall of 1958. By middle of November, Ford replaced "Fairlane 500" with new model " Galaxie". The Fairlane designation continued with the new Galaxie script on the quarter panels but the Fairlane script and the GOLD # 500 appears only on the trunk, 0 is the key hole. In addition Ford added a gold Galaxie script to Glove Box Cover. Car has "New Hampshire Title" Vehicle ID #: H9RW101847 Prior history in 1980 after being Judged a Showcase Car, at the 1980 INTERNATIONAL FORD RETRACTABLE CLUB Convention, it also won both Best in Show & Peoples choice. I have the 1980 IFRC magazine showing the Owner accepting the best of show award. Also have July/2008 Skyliner listing all Showcase cars through 2008 and list my VIN# along side of Reg#25. This car came out of storage in 2007 and I purchased in Sept/2007 and shortly after started my body off rotisserie restoration, which was completed July/2012. Heads, 4v Intake manifold & Exhaust manifolds, Peterson's Machining Belmont, NH 4v carburetor, Hobbs Carburetor Shop Pelham, NH Cruise-O-Matic Transmission, Date code correct Trans-Medic Transmission Clinic Windham, NH Rear Axle rebuild all new bearings, seals and fluid, Union Avenue Automotive Services Laconia, NH OEM Select-Air Cooling and Heating, Classic Auto Air FL. Starter, Generator, Power Steering Pump, Power Windows Switchers, all 6 reverable electric roof motors, and roof switcher, 4 roof jacks by Showcase Restoration. Every wiring harness was replaced with, All New Wiring Harness even if it was 1 wire, from Fords Part Store, Bryan, Ohio. Re-chrome front & rear Bumpers and Bumper Guards, Roof Trim & Gold Skyliner Script, Fall River, Ma.. Also refinished and polished all stainless Trim molding and Grill Fall River,Ma. Frame and Frame part was sand blasted, rust proof and power coated. Soda Blasted Body on Rotisserie other pieces were stripped of paint and Acid Dipped in Worcester,Ma. New Stainless Brake lines & Wheel Cylinders New Stainless Gas Lines and Gas Tank Painted with single stage paint, at Chassis Master Laconia, NH Original Colors, Only Changed Paint Style from Two Tone Paint to Style-tone Paint. Showcase Restoration of Salem NH, specializing in retractable's, picked up the partial assembly car and remaining parts to finalizing the assembly, mechanical work, roof settings and polishing and detailing. INTERNATIONAL FORD RETRACTABLE CLUB Car Judged Showcase with 1008 out of 1020 Won "GOLD" Awarded.
