Vehicle Description
This high-quality rotisserie restoration of a Yenko Camaro re-creation started with a rust-free Los Angeles-built Camaro with original sheet metal. The body was taken down to bare metal and refinished in its factory original color of Garnet Red using PPG two-stage base coat/clear coat paint and color-sanded into a mirror-like shine. The interior is finished in red deluxe comfort weave and is all new, and features bucket seats and center console with gauge package along with a sport steering wheel and factory tachometer. Powered by a 454ci big-block engine, correctly dressed in Yenko 427 trim, and mated to a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and equipped with a 12-bolt posi-traction rear end. The engine compartment was restored to factory and Yenko Chevrolet specifications, right down to the smog system, correct-dated plug wires, dated hoses and tower clamps along with the correct-style battery and all the Yenko decals. The outside appearance is also true to a Yenko, sporting correct badges and placements, along with bright white striping and front and rear spoilers. Complementing the Yenko appearance package are correct-style wheels and tires along with a full chambered exhaust. The underside of the car is just as detailed as the top side with a fully painted underside and subframe, along with new brake and fuel lines and gas tank, as well as new body bushings and hardware. This detailed Yenko re-creation's rotisserie restoration was completed in September 2018. This Camaro has been kept in a climate-controlled collection. Build pictures and '69 Camaro owner's manual and other information included. A select offering from the Chip Watkins Collection.
