Vehicle Description
Presented in correct Firecracker Red and white, This 1976 Jeep Cherokee was completely restored to include all components of the drivetrain, with the addition of Vintage Air, Hydro-Boost brakes, aluminum cross-flow radiator with multiple cooling fans, and a 4-barrel intake and carburetor. The engine, transmission, transfer case, axles, differentials, shocks, brakes, gas tank, rubber moldings and front windshield were completely rebuilt or replaced. This Jeep is powered by a 5.9-liter 8-cylinder engine mated to an automatic transmission and has 94,000 original miles (the title reads mileage exempt). The vehicle was completely repainted panel by panel, and sound-deadened with Dynamat Extreme on floor, rear wheel wells, interior panels and the insides of the doors. A complete new interior was installed with carpet, headliner and seats, with a period-correct center console with two cup holders and lockable storage. The interior cabin lights were upgraded to LED, and a Pioneer head unit was added with Hertz Component speakers in front and Hertz 6x9" speakers in the second row, and a 10" subwoofer added to the back passenger-side rear panel with two amplifiers running the system. The factory exterior decal is period-correct and new, and the Chief medallions were restored. All stainless interior and exterior trim was removed straightened and professionally polished. The factory-original slot wheels were professionally polished and NOS center caps were added. New headlights were installed and the rear taillights were converted to LED. The grille was completely refurbished using the factory-correct bright dip method, and the front and rear bumpers were straightened and rechromed.
