With the exception of the excellent 1952 Continental R, the cars from Crewe were mere copies of their more coveted Rolls-Royce counterparts. However, this changed in 1985 with the Bentley Turbo R (R for roadholding), as it was the first car to be built following the original philosophy of W.O. Bentley in years. Producing roughly 300 bhp and with great handling characteristics, this allowed those enthusiastic owners-drivers to enjoy a properly sorted high-end saloon. According to its original service manual, this Turbo R was produced for the 1991 model year and finished in Royal Blue over St James Red leather. While the car's early history is not known, it was exported from Japan in 2016 to Europe and purchased by its current owner roughly one year ago. Additionally, it is important to note that the car still retains its original engine and is presented in exceptional condition throughout.
