Here is the true situation with it:
I purchased a new used car about 6 months ago and it unexpectedly had issues right away which I had to resolve leaving me with no time or funds left to get this Jaguar running which was my intention.
Ive had it looked at by two competent mechanics who both said the same as to what it needs.
It needs a new torque converter which is totally doable if you have the time and funds (priced a new one at around 350) and decent mechanically skills and tools.
The engine is solid : compression tested and good. New plugs and coils 1 year ago.
Apart from the aforementioned torque converter the tranny is good and fluid had been kept up etc. Both differentials have been cleaned internally and new fuid.
Honestly since my new car and time and $ on it, I have neglected the Jaguar, parked it and forgot it basically 6 months ago. I have it parked in the Killearn shopping center parking lot j(family owes store there) just down the road from my house, it's not been washed and inside is really dirty by now but absolutely can be revived.
Whoever buys it will need to bring a trailer to haul it as obviously it can't be driven or cranked
, .
Other minor things to note, front passenger window does not go up all the way.
Ding on driver side rear corner, not bad!
No battery.
Paint is in excellent shape but few imperfections as you would expect.
Also in last 18months j have put on new.
Expansion thank
Front pads
Water pump
Replaced upper and lower intake gaskets and valve covers.
So that's it, looks rough but anyone with an eye and decent mechanically ability will reap the rewards.
**** MAKE ME AN OFFER**** Indeed to get. Home for it and remove it from parking lot.
Title is clean and in my name however j can't locate it. If whoever buys it wants one we can go to the tag office together and get an instant title which you will have to pay it's $100 or we can work it out in price.
Obviously you don't know me and anyone can write anything but I have been totally honest to the above details.
It's a rare car for it's color and one of only a few that were actually made in England band shipped over to U.S.
Any questions etc text or email only (text preferred)
PS will add pics soon
