Vehicle Description
Testing the waters, this thing is a unicorn. 1979 Jeep CJ7 with a 2013 Jetta TDI 2.0 CJAA engine. The car the engine came out of had 65,000mi. It runs down the freeway at 70mph no problem, and will climb a telephone pole if you let it. Since it's registered as a diesel it doesn't need a smog cert. Have a clean title and is currently registered. The jeep has front and rear Dana 44 international scout axles, the rear has a tru track diff and the front has a posi trac diff. Had this jeep stripped down to the frame and painted frame. I get right around 24mpg between in town and freeway driving. Just drove it out to King of the hammer's last weekend.
