1997 Jeep TJ
Frame is in good condition with no repairs.
Hard top and bikini top
It’s been my daily for 5 years and has not let me down. Straight 6, 5 speed.
What’s new:
All brakes including calipers and all lines
Fuel pump, distributor, shocks, tires including spare
Belly pan nutserts (all,including hardware), was not rotted under pan, replaced during clutch replacement
Clutch and master
Radiator, alternator, battery and starter
Has AC and it works
What does it need:
Paint sucks
Rear defogger harness came off glass
Rear washer pump needs replacement
Have to manually turn off turn signal switch and left front turn signal needs harness repair at the socket, blinks fast.
Tear in d/s lower seat cover (5 inches long at the left edge where you slide in and out)
Heater works but needs selectors repaired
for desired positions. Defrost and floor works.
Lighting work, a burned out socket or 2 and the led headlights previous owner installed suck as well as his wiring job. I personally would replace the headlight harness, have found plenty used just never got around to it. Wish I replaced the flywheel with clutch but didn’t, a little chatter. Door gaskets, not torn but compressed after all these years cause doors to rattle. When the doors are off it’s a very quiet Jeep CEL came on for evap Fuel tank gasket is new, was replaced when pump was done probably a line or something wasn’t concerned and didn’t get into it, there are no external fuel leaks, could even be just the fuel cap not sure . Like I said it’s a 1997 and far from perfect. It is however a strong Jeep and a perfect project if your looking for something that drives while you do whatever you are going to do to it. Forgot to mention, yes the 4WD does work and all u joints are new as well including the cardian joint. All new parts are within 2 years. Yes the winch works too. The price is 7k firm. I do not need to sell, so no I won’t take anything less no matter what you think of it. I did post my Jeep before, there was so much immediate interest I took it down, simply due to torn on selling it, didn’t think that many people would want it so quickly. It is now for sale again and I will sell this time. Mileage will go up due to I still drive it.
