Vehicle Description
As the title states, I’ve got a 2004 F250 with the 6.0 liter Powerstroke diesel engine in it. It doesn't make the greatest external impression, but the motor is healthy, rock solid, and ready for someone else to add another 200,000 to the odometer. I’ve owned this vehicle since October 2014 and purchased it at 138,200 miles.
The base truck is as follows:
*2004.5 MY (build date May 2004)
*Crew cab with 6-¾ foot box
*Lariat trim
*FX4 offroad package
Aftermarket goodies, extra touches, and other updates:
*2003 MY 10 vane turbocharger
*4” turbo back exhaust with 24” Magnaflow muffler
*Airaid intake with wet filter.
*ARP head studs with Black Diamond head gaskets.
*BD Diesel high idle switch.
*Bed coated with Line-X. Coating is five or more years old and has a few chips.
*Bilstein 5900 shocks.
*Blue spring upgrade.
*Bulletproof Diesel oil to air cooler. Heavy duty radiator option, stock filtration retained.
*Bulletproof Diesel EGR cooler.
*Leece Neville 230A alternator with upgraded wiring required for high output alternators
*Mastercraft Courser AXT LT285/70/R17 tires on aftermarket rims. Roughly 1/4 tread life left.
*Pioneer MVH-X370BT stereo.
*Quad pillar gauge. I think it’s an Autometer. Gauges display transmission temp, exhaust gas temp, turbo boost, and fuel pressure. Boost and fuel pressure gauges have not been connected.
*Recon headlights and running lights
*SCT LiveWire TS+ tuner. The tuner is brand new as I was forced to upgrade due to a firmware failure in the old tuner.
*Shell Rotella Ultra ELC.
*Upgraded FICM from FICMRepair.com with PHP Atlas 40 tune.
*Upgraded metal intercooler to intake horn CAC tube.
*Upgraded hot side CAC tube boots.
*Warn manual locking hubs.
*WeatherTech front and rear floor mats. WeatherTech driver seat cover.
*XDP coolant bypass filter.
I change the oil every 5,000 miles (or even fewer), fuel filters every 10,000, and all longer service interval tasks are done on time or early.
One of the photos is the screenshot from KBB for the approximate value of this truck if it were stock. I estimate I’ve got about $8,000 under the hood. There is rust over both rear wheel wells, both front door bottoms, both rocker panels, the driver cab corner, and a few other places near the front wheels. The bed is also scratched. Weather worn exterior with a warm heart. Make me an offer.
