Vehicle Description
2005 Hyundai Accent sedan - $2,700 OBO
Very low mileage: 85,088
A Carfax report will tell you for sure, but I’m fairly sure I’m only the second owner. I purchased it from the estate of an elderly lady that only drove it to church and the grocery store each week. I mainly only drive it to work and back each day, and that's a 0.5 mile each way. The A/C is ice cold. The engine and transmission run perfectly.
Very well maintained:
• Regular full synthetic oil changes
• New timing belt and water pump about 2 years ago
• New oil pan gasket installed this weekend (4/17/21)
• New transmission pan gasket installed this weekend (4/17/21)
• New exhaust flex pipe about 2 years ago
• New front brakes last spring (2020)
• New rear brakes last fall (2020)
Work needed:
• Muffler pipe flange rusted. Needs cut out with a wheel grinder and reconnected with an exhaust pipe connector and clamps. (Pipe connector should run around $10 and the clamps should run around $3 each)
• There is a seal leaking around the transmission. The best I can tell, it’s the input shaft seal. I can’t do the work myself, but if you can, the seal is only about $10. This will need fixed before the car can be driven further than from here to your house.
• Check engine light is on. I’m pretty sure there’s a failed sensor that I haven’t had a chance to hunt down and replace.
• Multiple minor rust spots on the body (see photos).
The main issue is the leaking seal. If you can do that work yourself, this is a fantastic car! I’ve maintained it well. I love it and am sad to see it go, but replacing the seal is beyond my ability.
Number listed can receive texts.
Sorry the pictures of the rust spots are rotated. The Craigslist photo uploader is rotating them that way and I can't fix it.
