Vehicle Description
PLEASE READ THE AD IF YOU THINK YOU MAY BE INTERESTED. We got this car a little over 2 years ago as a running and driving project for my 12 year old son. In truth we haven't done much other than for me to drive it occasionally. He's going on 15 so I figured that would give enough time to fix some things before turning 16. He changed his mind about what he wants recently so here it is for sale. It started life as a 4cyl but the guy I got it from dropped in a 5.0 (302) and the transmission for a V8. No clue about the miles. It runs great and is very strong. He said the transmission was rebuilt. I can't prove it but I know it shifts great and the fluid isn't and wasn't burnt or cruddy. The linkage is off some. Park is where it should be, Reverse is where it should be and so is nuetral. Drive is engaged when you pull it all the way down. Shifts perfect, linkage is just 'off' when putting it in drive. The power windows work fine. The gas gauge works perfect but the speedometer doesn't work. The wipers don't either. I believe the heater does but I haven't driven it in about a month so I won't swear to it. You can see some hail marks. The hood is the worst but there's another hood that comes with the car. A white hood, not a red one. A Mustang hood scoop is included with the car. No back seats. Never were since the day we got it. Excellent tires all the way around. They are about 2 1/2 years old but don't even have a thousand miles on them. The seat belts need to be bolted back in place. The sunroof has never leaked since we've had it. It's got some MSD ignition parts. The wiring for that works but is tacky looking in my opinion. Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carb (I'm not a fan of their carbs) and Pacesetter Headers. It's a large diameter single exhaust. The car isn't a bit smog legal so if you live in Phoenix you'd have to register it as a classic. Yes we did our homework just in case someone from Phoenix would want to buy it. It does need the things I mentioned. I'm going to try to bs people and have them discover those things when they look at it. It makes me mad when people do that so I will not do that crap! May need a power brake booster in the future. The pedal feels a little soft. It DOES run and shift and drive great. I'm pricing it accordingly compared to other Fox Bodies I see on Craigslist. Actually cheaper than some that think their car is made out of gold since it's a Fox Body. No emails please. Text is preferred and calls are okay but if you call leave a voicemail. I get too many calls trying to sell me extended car warranties or solar heating so if I don't recognize a number I don't answer it. If it's a real person they'll leave a voicemail. Clean and clear title in my name and notarized too. 928 Seven One Three 8887. My name is David. I live by Iron Springs Road and Gail Gardener but the Mustang is parked at my uncle's house by Rosser and Willow Creek. I will show it by appointment. He's 86 so I don't want people just randomly showing up. I think most people will understand that given his age. I've been having periodic phone issues. If you text and I don't respond please feel free to email me.
