Vehicle Description
Up for sale is our 2015 (low miles!) Nissan NV200 converted camper. We are selling it because we don't get as much use out of it as we thought and parking is a premium where we live. We converted the van less than 1 year ago. I have restored several VW Westfalias in the past so you can see our inspiration. I have also restored several british cars and 4x4s. We choose the NV200 for its size and fuel economy. Much easier to handle than a Sprinter and way faster than a VW Bus ! We find that this van is much easier to drive for long hours and very easy to maneuver. Mechanically, the van is in top shape with low miles. Here are some of the features, plus check out the youtube links below also:
Insulated with reflectix (makes a big difference in hot and cold weather)
Diesel heater (we have only used it once when it got close to freezing outside- a bit overkill but nice to have!)
200W solar with MPPT charger and monitor (the best charger I could find)
100Ah sealed battery (more than we need to run fridge, lights, chargers and heater)
Cut off safety switch (safety first)
Carbon monoxide monitor (safety first)
12 volt compressor drive fridge (not the cheap thermoelectric types- runs on solar easily)
4x 2.1A USB/cigarette solar powered chargers (charge 4 ipads plus 2 extra cig. lighter outlets)
Insulated and wood flooring (semi water proof and easy to clean)
Birch plywood construction (not cheap, yet light weight)
Reimo camper table kit installed (see video)
Rare UK Smartbeds Evolution II (super hard to find in the US and not CHEAP!)
4 inch gel/memory bed combo mattress (the best I have found in terms of comfort)
LED lighting (solar powered + reading light- my wife likes to read in bed)
Industrial type roof rack
Tinted windows (helps stealth camping and people snooping inside the van)
Fuse panel for all 12 volt electrical
Outdoor furniture grade material on foldable couch (easily dog proof and easy to clean)
We hope the van goes to a good home (all of our cars have), this is perfect for a cross country adventure. Perfect for the single photographer (can charge lots of equipment) or the couple looking for a weekend warrior or #vanlife! If you are looking for something more manageable than a Sprinter, Promaster and don't want to deal with mechanical gremlins from old VW Westfalia vans - I can't think of a better rig. Plus for this price, you are ready to hit the road. We are 2 miles from the San Francisco Airport and have sold our previous rigs to folks who fly in and drive away. This is not what we do for a living, every couple of years we build a rig for ourselves and then inevitably they find a new home (see my youtube channel)
