2008 Astra XR Hatchback 5spd

This 2008 Astra XR Hatchback is a unique vehicle with a limited production run stateside of 2 years brought in under the Saturn brand. It’ll be easy to lose the Saturn Stigma once you see this vehicle in person and see it is a Belgium built unit which carries better build quality then the brand would lead. This being the sportiest model (XR) which is the 2dr hatchback mated with the 1.8L & 5spd manual transmission. The vehicle has very low miles currently reading 57k miles. It has been Tributed to 08 Opel Astra GTC with upgraded front grille, door sills and rear badging. This Astra has the European hot hatch feel and runs and drives as it should.

The exterior is in good shape for the age. The silver paint shines well. Front bumper cover has some light fading on the front near the grille. Speaking of has been updated to an Opel Astra OPC grille which has been color matched transforms the front end into a sporty hot hatch it is. There is a scratch on the hood just above the grille about 2” long. There is not visible rust or bubbling of paint. Since this model is a sportier XR package it shares the same 17” wheels with low profile tires as its brothers from over the pond. There is some light curbage on some of the wheels but no major damage. The front tires are Conti Procontact SSR with 9/32 nds tread depth. The rears are matching 9/32 nds tread depth.

The interior has 2 sporty big bolster bucket black cloth seats the hold you in snug. There is some damage to the dr. side seat bolster where it is missing a small chunk of foam. Over all the interior is very clean. All electronic functions work properly and is equipped with GM’s OnStar.

It has been recently serviced where it received drilled and slotted front brakes with ceramic pads. It was also inspected and an oil and lube service was performed. All lights are off the dash except the TPMS light which is one for a tire pressure monitor which isn’t present in one of the wheels.

This car is a good driver and is a great foundation for future modifications. Priced perfectly for new driver or enthusiast. This vehicle comes with MA title, 2 sets of key fobs and factory owner’s manual. It turns heads, stands in traffic known to receive thumbs up for other motorists abut still an affordable and very low mileage import tribute versus the import equal that isn’t legal for importation until 2030.
