Vehicle Description
Thanks for viewing my listing for this Thank you for taking the time to look at my listing for this 1980 Porsche 928. It has been a great daily driver over my last 15 years of ownership, but it is time for me to downsize.
The good:
Interior is in great shape
Starts right up every time and has been a very reliable daily driver
Well maintained and frequently serviced
Motor is strong and healthy - doesn't consume oil or coolant
Adult owned - never beaten on or raced.
Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires have tons of life left in them.
Fresh timing belt - this is a big job for these cars.
Fresh shifter bushings
Beautiful staggered 996 911 turbo twist wheels.
No frame damage
No accidents
Always stored inside over the winters and covered in the summers when not driven. Never driven in snow and seldom driven in the rain.
Alternator replaced, fluid in the transaxle flushed recently.
Sunroof, power windows, headlights and foglights work.
The bad:
The rear hatch leaks in the rain
Some of the window frames have surface rust, as shown in the pictures.
Clearcoat on hood is thinning.
Small crack in the rear bumper around the right marker light
Front bumper has cracks in paint
Camshaft seal has a slow oil leak. The leak is slow enough that the engine doesn't consume any measurable amount of oil between oil changes, but still seeps out onto the exhaust manifold and creates a burnt oil smell.
Intermittent odometer over the past couple of years. The odometer reads ~129k, but actual estimated mileage is around 135,000.
Power seats work but aren't connected, and the switch bezels are cracked.
A cover is on the dashboard. The dashboard underneath has a crack in it.
The fuel gauge is sometimes intermittent.
