Vehicle Description
Up for sale - reluctantly - is my beloved 2007 BMW 335i sedan, in gloss metallic black exterior with brown leather interior (it’s a beautiful combo). I love this car, and the only reason I’m selling it and not still driving it every day is that I recently switched to an electric car. That thing’s fine, but I miss the twin turbos of this beast… I was thinking about keeping it around but it’s not getting the drive time it deserves, so my loss is your gain.
I’m the 2nd owner of this stallion – I bought it in July 2010 with 42k miles on it from Century West BMW in Los Angeles. It was a lease return, and it was so cherry the dealership turned it into a Certified Pre-Owned. It now has 114k miles and a long life ahead of it.
It’s optioned perfectly, with the Sport Package (better suspension, sport bucket seats with adjustable thigh cushions, and wheel mounted shifters), Premium Package (top of the line Logic7 stereo with speakers everywhere and dual subwoofers, Bluetooth, backup sensors, sun roof, etc.), Cold Weather Package (dual heated seats, ski pass through, and rear seats fold all the way down). It basically has everything offered that year except for GPS, and let me tell you it’s awesome to have no screen… first, screens from 2007 don’t age too well, and second, it’s like the driving experience of a fantastic vintage car with all the advantages of a modern machine. Also, if you’re not familiar with this model year BMW, this is the version with the renowned BMW handling feel that they are famous for. A couple years later BMW screwed up and numbed the handling with over-zealous electronic-assist; those in the know stuck with the 2007 and 2008 model years.
Mechanically it’s in excellent condition, and cosmetically it’s in very good condition aside from some paint oxidation on the roof. I’ve babied this car and taken really good care of it. After the warranty was out, it was always serviced at Elite Automotive in LA, which is a specialty BMW mechanic (they only work on BMWs and use all genuine OEM parts; the owner Rudy is a former master mechanic from an LA BMW dealer). Oil changed religiously every 6k miles with BMW full synthetic oil (BMW says to wait 12k miles between oil changes but Rudy likes to baby his clients’ cars too).
All the normal stuff that breaks at some point on a BMW has already been replaced:
Replaced all 6 fuel injectors at 84k miles
Replaced fuel pump at 76k miles
Replaced coolant pump at 72k miles
Window motors, headlights, oil filter gaskets have all been replaced
As far as the standard wear parts:
Tires have ~20k miles on them so there is a good amount of tread left. They are Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position S04 (the best performance tires out there, I’ve run them for years)
New front brake pads + rotors at 106k miles
New rear brake pads + rotors and battery at 94k miles
All recalls addressed and fixed by BMW dealers over the years
AC blows super cold
Clean title, local owner, comes with surfboard roof rack.
