Used Reliable vehicle with a little work for sale in Nags Head, NC

2006 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. I will start with the bad. The wheel bearings on the front are failing. I ordered new wheel hubs to replace them. They cost about $80 for the pair. I started taking everything a part to put them in and the bolt to the abs sensor broke off. It is not that hard to fix the bolt if you have the right tools and/ or a torch which I don’t have. I am in the middle of a move and just don’t have the time and proper garage setup to finish the job. It needs a front end alignment because of taking it apart messed it up. Fix the wheel hubs and then get an alignment or you will have to pay for a second alignment. The alignment now will eat front tires very quick so it needs to be fixed soon after purchase or you will be blowing a tire. The paint is faded and the vehicle has some small dents and dings. So, with all that said, I am pretty sure if you replace the wheel hubs, put on some new tires, this van will run for another 50k miles or more if taken care of. If you can work on a vehicle, you could have a nice work vehicle or even one to carry the family around. The interior you will have to see.

The good: This van runs really well. The struts, front control arms, rotors, break pads, calipers, ball joints and rear shocks were replaced last year. The oil has been religiously changed every 3k to 5K miles. All the stow and go seats work and can be used. All the seat belts work. You can seat a total of 7 including the driver. This van will give you many more miles of use with a little TLC. The van can be driven. It runs really nice.

This is a great vehicle for someone that needs cheap reliable transportation and knows how to work on cars. Or for someone that wants to have the work done in a shop. It would still be a good deal. You pay my asking price of $1500 and spend a $1000 getting the front end fixed and you will have a vehicle that runs great.

I don’t have the time or space right now to do the work on this vehicle. I wish I did. This van has served my family very well over the years.
