Garage-kept, meticulously maintained, and obsessed over by yours truly.
Original owner of this carefully modified sleeper performance wagon that rides confidence-inspiringly stiff, pounces when requested, and purrs from the exhaust.but not obnoxiously so (to avoid undue notice!).
- 2.3L high output turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder with 16 valves
- Factory rated at 260 hp @ 5300RPM and 262 lb.ft. of torque at 1900-4500RPM (slightly higher hp and torque since I run a K&N air filter plus a BSR low flow cat-back performance exhaust)
- Massive 73 cu.ft. cargo space in back, with the full 60/40% rear seat folded down
- Genuine Saab roof racks, locks and keys
- K&N air filter
- Tinted windows across the board (except the front windshield)
- Heated door mirrors
- Automatically dimming rear view mirror with integrated compass and 3-button programmable garage door opener
- Koni Sport struts/shocks (adjustable rears) + Genuine Saab springs (Aeros came 10mm lower from factory)
- Strut mounts, bushings, etc. all replaced during suspension upgrade — upgraded to Powerflex’s stiffer polyurethane bushings to avoid the need for future replacement, since the labor is often miserable
- Pentosin PSF
- Pentosin DOT4 LV brake fluid
- Mobil 1 European Car Formula 0W-40 (religiously changed every 4-5K miles) using Bosch oil filters
- Black do88 (Swedish performance parts supplier) silicone MAF intake hose
- Blue silicone vacuum lines.
- BSR low flow cat-back exhaust with large chrome single outlet (not a silly chrome tip)
- Sport aligned by Truline (Bellevue, WA). 38psi cold pressure on all 4 tires is recommended to optimize performance, especially at highway speed. *NOTE: Rear spring clips were custom installed by Truline to maintain sport alignment specs while preventing the rear tires from scraping the wheel wells when clearing speed bumps (when fully loaded with people/gear). So no more need for those annoying rear camber shims all 9-5 wagon owners must get installed, to compensate for sagging rear springs over time!*
- Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ 235/45-WR17 tires
- Proactively replaced DIC, plugs, coolant bypass valve, PCV lines, Xenon bulbs, LED fog lights, etc.
- Just got a full interior/exterior detail and still keeping it garaged, as always
- Meticulous service records since I’m anal retentive about preventive maintenance and upkeep since buying my baby about 14 years ago (incl. service during the past 7+ years at Park Place in Bellevue, WA)
- Extra parts are included, such as Genuine Saab roof racks, a new Forge turbo blowoff valve, Haynes manual, new tensioner pulley, spare MAF with original rubber intake hose, etc.
