Vehicle Description
Designed, built, and owned by Thunder Mountain Off Road in Sedona, this truck served as a mobile showroom. The Jeep was built classy and with no expense spared. The truck started life as a fully loaded 2020 Rubicon with every option available from the factory. We've added a Supercharger, 4" lift, 37" tires, winch, bed rack, power steps, etc. The truck is beautiful, fast, flashy, and pure awesome. Here is the full breakdown
3.6l V6 with a Hamburgers Supercharger. 425hp, 365lb-ft of torque. We picked this one because of the fantastic warranty, excellent driveability (you don't need to lift off the accelerator to get it to shift. Hamburgers reprograms the TCU to match the new torque and HP curves) No supercharger whine. Full 3-year power train warranty. Will be CARB compliant soon. This truck is fast.
4" Rock Jock suspension system. That means full control arms, trackbars, springs, bump stops, sway bar links, carrier bearing drop, brake lines. everything. Most of the trucks you see lifted are just kits to make room for 37's. This is the top of the line, King of the Hammers proven suspension that utilizes the Johnny Joint. Fox 2.0 IFP shocks and a Fox ATS steering stabilizer provide dampening and MetalCloak duraspring bump stops prevent harsh bottom outs. This truck seriously drives better than it did at factory ride height.
37x12.50R17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires wrapped around Method 702 wheels in smoked bronze add a classy but bold look. We even added some APEX rapid air down valves.
Warn Evo 10s winch mounted to a RockHard winch plate for the factory steel bumpers. Warn winch hoop. I chose not to go with aftermarket bumpers because the factory steel ones are the best looking available. A Factor 55 winch hook completes the look.
RockSlide engineering power steps. This truck is tall! it can be hard to get into so I added some power steps. I went with the best. RockSlide Engineering. These are tough enough to use as actual rock sliders. The steps drop down any time a door is opened and there is a nice LED puddle light for convenience.
For quick open-air duty, I went with the Bestop Sunrider. it's a mini soft top that replaces the two hard panels above the driver and passenger. You can have it open in less than 2 seconds, and have it closed just as fast. No flapping, at highway speeds. The truck comes with the factory hard panels too. I even opted for the luxurious Twill fabric, like you would find on high-end European cars like Mercedes or BMW. It is very nice.
JCR half rack for the bed. It is only half the height of the cab so you can add a rooftop tent that won't stick up above the roofline, increasing fuel economy and lowering the center of gravity. Plenty of options for RotoPax or your favorite traction board too.
Lots of other important details too like a heavy-duty front Spicer driveshaft. This truck has been built properly with performance in mind.
