Vehicle Description
Convertible Toyota with Bank vault solid V6 engine and transmission. Large backseats with plenty of room for legs, spacious trunk with a spare wheel. 185,000 miles.
Here's the ownership and maintenance history as far as I can put it together.
The car had several owners, where the previous is my friend who I bought this car from. When she purchased the vehicle with around 80-85k miles on it she changed Transmission fluid, As well as oil and filters at Valvoline as it shows on Service history report.
As the current owner, I changed the thermostat, battery, cv-joint, lights and other minor things, such as brake pads, tires, lights etc. Another transmission fluid change was done at 133k miles. There was a minor Bumper to Bumper accident that broke the grille and logo fell off, as it could be seen on the pictures. Other than that the car has some scratches on the bumpers and that made me wonder whether its previous owners needed glasses more than they thought.
The fundamental mechanical bits, like the engine and transmission are legendary rock solid and seem like they will last forever.
Maybe you'll replace the struts, I have already purchased the new ones but didn't replace yet. So if you need them let me know so I could bring them with me.
Maybe you'll replace the engine mounts, I think they cost around 70 bucks on Amazon and a couple of hours of head scratching to do that.
The soft top works great and never leaks when it's raining,
A/C works well and blows cold, which is great to have around in summer.
Fair warning. Registration is due so I will pay that fee at AAA when we get there.
