For those of you that think KBB is of any value, look at the last three pictures. It compares a Dealer Car, A Individual's Car ,and A CPO Dealer Car. It's granted a CPO car has more value if they are actually extending the factory warranty. But KBB is pretty much a scam, it subsidised by the Dealers. In return KBB values their cars higher. Think about this would you rather have a car bought at a auction with no know history, no idea of who drove it or anything about it. This car could be passed thru multiple auction and dealers. Or a car the was owned and driven , serviced by the person your buying it from. They also know it's history, whether it's in a garage or parking lot at night and everything else about this vehicle. I know your going to say but they showed me a Carfax it has the history! Guess what another scam perpetrated on the American people. You probably didn't know that a large Store ( Dealer) drops $8/10K a month on their Carfax Subscription, some more. Don't you think there going to want some favors for all that money. YOU BET. That car they bought at the auction with the Moderate Accident can either disappear or it become a INCIDENT. This goes on constantly. That's why the Dealers have a lot of cars with NO ACCIDENTS - Carfax fix's them for them. I know right now your saying how full of _hit I'am. But guess what I know this stuff because I owned a Dealership for over 26 years and ran a Franchised Store for some time. Believe or not these services KBB - Carfax are very questionable. Also when you purchase that BETTER vehicle for more money from the Dealer you get to PAY DEALER FEE'S - Called Delivery, Documentation what ever of $200/$600. (This is just Gravy for the Dealer) Base your value on the vehicle it's self ( Color Options Miles Condition) - not some crap on line. Good Luck.
