Vehicle Description
Up For Sale is a 2002 Chevy Impala LS Sedan with a 200 hp V-6 3.8 liter engine, power windows, locks and an A/C that blows COLD air.
I am the very short 2nd owner of this car. It was purchased originally by the City of Chubbuck on 1/16/2002 and used as a detectives car for the Chubbuck Police Dept.
The car was ridiculously maintained, I have over 30 pages of maintenance records from Cole Chevrolet, Cowboy Lube Barn, Todd's Auto, Les Schwab, Jiffy Lube, Tire Discounter, Bargain Tire and the City of Chubbuck's internal shop inspection reports. The vehicles oil was religiously change every 4,000 miles.
I bought this rig on Feb. 15, 2018 for my daughter while she attended BYU Idaho in Rexburg. After a few semesters she flew back to Alaska and now it looks like we will have a new Son-in-law this coming Spring!
The vehicle has sat in my Mother-in-laws back yard ever since. When I bought the car it had 93,432 miles on it and my daughter parked it with 103,333 miles on it. My wife and I did use it a few times to visit our Grandson in Provo, Utah that is the furthest it has been driven by us. We purchased new front tires for it, new gas struts for the hood and trunk, lubed all the hinge points, installed a new serpentine belt and installed a new battery.
On top of the items I purchased new for the car, I paid a total of $3,828.00 for it on Feb. 15, 2018. Initial cost was $3,300.00 plus a buyers premium of $330.00 and $198.00 in taxes.
This is a very nice car for a student, it drives straight, has no unusual noises coming from the engine or transmission, it is very good on fuel, city = 19mpg, highway = 29mpg. It shifts smoothly and has a very nice sound system that includes an amplifier and 6 speakers, this was part of the original factory upgrade spec. requested by the City of Chubbuck
My wife's nephew Mitch, located in the Rexburg area, has the clean title in hand. The Alaskan license plates will have to be removed, sorry, no souvenirs, they are handicap plates in my name, I am a disabled vet.

Answers to a few questions already asked - No, it has not been in a wreck or been damaged, it is a Front Wheel Drive rig and yes, it handles very well in the snow. Thank you for the questions.
