Vehicle Description
Some say the 1939 Jaguar SS100 was the most beautiful car ever built. This vintage kit car was built in the 70s by three sons for their mother. We bought it when she was no longer able to drive. It has been a pleasure to toodle around town in this beauty. Every outing elicits waves and comments from onlookers. A fun car to drive. We have done a lot of work under the hood (2.8 liter, V6, automatic transmission) and it now drives like a dream. The previous owners put in a cassette deck and speakers. In addition to the work under the hood we upgraded the shift knob/cover, review mirrors, and installed shoulder strap seat belts. The car comes with the installed soft roof and also a hardshell roof, but the hardshell roof does need some repair. We've never found it necessary to use the hardshell; the soft roof is all we've ever needed. Comes with sales brochure and original "Duke" Assembly Manual.
