Here for sale is a perfect first car, family runabout, or whatever else you can think of - a 2008 Volvo XC70. CarFax appraised at 8.6k, but it needs a bit of cosmetic work to look in tip-top condition, so I've knocked it down to 4.5k.

As far as mechanical reliability and safety is concerned, this thing is as good as it gets for this kind of money. The Volvo modular engine is legendary for its reliability and performance (not to mention its impeccably smooth sound), and will probably outlast the heat death of the universe, so long as you treat it with respect. Same goes for the transmission and suspension, too - both are just as silky smooth as the day this came into the showroom. It also has AWD, so it will be perfect for this coming winter season.

As the pictures show, this thing is optioned out for excellent highway cruising with its incredibly accurate and responsive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, power leather seats with adjustable bolstering, and one-touch climate control. It is also a great family car, as it has integrated booster seats, three HomeLink settings, and fold-flat rear seats for a truly massive load floor (believe me, I have fit a full fencing gear set, spare blades, AND a mountain bike in there, with room to spare).

Also, don't mind the CarFax warning about the odometer - it is a clerical error, and I can provide documentation showing it to be as such at your request. The only significant damage is the dent seen in the images, and a crack at the base of the passenger side mirror mount. Everything is is just cheap cosmetic stuff.
