Used VW Westfalia 1969 pop-top camper for sale in South Portland, ME

FOR SALE: 1969 VW Westfalia pop-top camper. Well-maintained and loved for 33 years. Arctic white exterior with black interior (recent). 1600 cc dual-port engine with oil cooler. 4-spd manual transmission. California original – Palm Springs/Santa Cruz; bought 3rd hand - 1989. X/C: 3x (1994; 97; 2004)

Refurbished professionally 2016, body stripped, primed & new paint; new window/door rubber, front rubber flooring; new interior upholstery/seat-cushions, covers and panels; new canvas, pop-top with new rubber gasket and clips. (see pics).

All original except replaced engine/1991; 1 piston replaced 2004 after last x/c*; added oil cooler – runs strong with no issues. Transmission, clutch & cable, E-brake, electric - all fine, maintained with no issues. Heater transfer boxes fine, floor solid, tires burly & in great shape. Structurally sound; runs great. <~26,000 miles on odometer> Registered thru May 2023.

Stored interior (Nov – May); a few hundred local, summer miles since refurb. All considerations & yearly maintenance done by Andy at Palmer’s (04106)*.

Removed original sink/fridge/chair for space in 1990 (150 lb dog!); n/a. Have original table & canvas cots (size: 1 adult, 1 child). Sound system removed. There exists minor rust at base of doors (evidence of past drainage), some engine door rust, 1 spot under fold out window and lower rt. rear corner. Crack on dashboard (when bought).
