Vehicle Description
This is a solid, original truck. It is not a show truck, but it runs and drives and we've been using it as a very light duty farm truck.
We bought this a couple of years ago for the purpose of using it as a very light duty farm truck. This means using the box to carry hay bales, straw, and fence posts. It's really been babied since we've owned it.
The owner was an older gentlemen who did his own (non-professional) restoration of it. As I said above - it's not a show truck by any means.
He converted it to a 12V system, however, the only thing that wasn't changed over was the windshield wipers/motor. That wasn't a problem with us as we didn't use in the in the rain/snow, and didn't go fast enough to collect any bugs. (I drive this around at no more than 45 MPH - -like I said, it's been babied.) 4-speed transmission including creeper gear.
I have it serviced locally in town that replaced fluid and oil/filter . His comment that it was in really nice condition considering its age.
We have fun with it and it's definitely a head turner. Old timers will recognize it as a IH corn binder and always comment that they remember them on the farms.
This has the original tailgate, and isn't something that's aftermarket. The cab is in pretty nice shape overall.
The ONLY reason we're selling it is that we just don't use it as much as we thought. It's stored in our garage of the barn, and is started every week. However, in reality, we only really take it out and drive it more than a mile a couple of times a month.
The speedometer is about the only gauge that works - just FYI.
**in the pictures, it looks like there's rust on the bottom of the cab - this is just a reflection of the wood runners.
Let us know if you're interested - it won't last too long. We're in no hurry to sell - just want someone to have it that will use more than we do.
**No delivery available. We'll only deal in-person and with cash.
