Reposting this to add 100% BRAND NEW 1600cc dual port Engine built by Baumgarten's and the OKC VW club... The bus...1958 Microbus with “Homette” camper conversion. I have no proof the homette conversion is legit, or a homemade job. Unfortunately, Homette, which was a travel trailer company in the 50s was bought by Skyline in the 60s. I have contacted Skyline and they confirmed there are no records. PO modified taillights, rear body, etc. Also, no title, I have a bill of sale, but the title burned in a house fire. If it stays in Arkansas a bonded title is required (~$200 plus your time). I have contact info for previous owner. The good. It rolls, the engine and transaxle are present and turn free.
