Vehicle Description
PRICE REDUCED TO SELL! Again.
Here you have a project car. It runs well, but engine smokes off and on, is otherwise complete, has all glass, chrome, bumpers, lights, but needs a full interior and paint job.
It has some rust, which runs from surface to complete holes in some areas. There is some pitting on the bottom of drivers side door and rear panel. The worst rust is in the trunk and passenger side floor pan.
The 1962 Mercedes 220SE Coupe has a W111 chassis code and production began in late 1960, with the coupe making its debut at the 75th anniversary of the opening of Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart in February of that year. The 220SE designation was used for both the coupe and convertible; and both received the same version of the 2195 cc M127 engine, and the production was limited to 14, 378. It has a clean title, a 6 cylinder engine and manual transmission with floor shifter and has the European headlights.
I am unable to complete the restoration due to health problems.
