Vehicle Description
Now available from CPR Classic Sales is this beautiful 1959 Mercedes-Benz 220SE refinished in Metallic Turquoise over a brown German leather interior.
This 220SE was a one-owner, Malibu California car until 2017 when CPR purchased it from its original owner. It showed only 65,000 original miles at the time of our acquisition. Upon acquiring the car, CPR sent it to K&H Upholstery to have a $23,000 German leather interior installed with a new black German Canvas top. After the detailed process of installing a new interior and top was completed, CPR sold the car to a client in the Boston, MA area. The car remained in Boston until just a few weeks ago, covering only 2,000 miles with its second and most recent owner.
The car now shows 67,000 original miles, and the engine and transmission are in top running order. The car is a 4-speed column shift manual that works flawlessly and is very entertaining to drive. The engine utilizes a Bosch mechanical fuel injection system, which was far more scarce than the carbureted examples that were also available in 1959.
This is a lovely example of a Mercedes Benz 220SE and would fit right in, in someone's classic Mercedes collection. It is ready to be driven and enjoyed for many miles to come.
