1969 Corvette convertible with hard top. Numbers matching car. Automatic transmission and air conditioned equipped car. Includes the soft convertible top and a hard top. The glass and stainless trim on the convertible hard top are in great shape. Restoration started, however, I have no time to finish it. Great restoration project.
I had the original numbers matching 350 engine (engine numbers match VIN of car) completely rebuilt, including heads, by United Speed World in Tampa. The engine rebuild included: clean block, rebore and hone cylinders, install cam bearings, install pistons, check line bore, clearance bearings, file rings, clean and resurface heads, pressure test valves, and valve job. New parts in the engine rebuild included: Eagle rotating assembly (which includes crank, pistons/rods, rings and bearings), new cam bearings, new brass freeze plug kit, comp cam kit, push rod set, gasket set, oil pump, oil pick up, cam retainer, and spark plug set. I have all receipts for the engine rebuild, which total $3,355.46. This engine has never been installed/run in the Vette since the rebuild. I had an MSD distributor, aluminum intake and coil installed by United Speed World as well.
Previous owner installed a new master cylinder and brake calipers right before I purchased it.
According to the Body Build Date Code, the car was built on September 17, 1969. Its original color is Burgundy (Code 988). It still has its original black interior (Code ZQ4). The original seats are in excellent condition with no rips or tears (see photos). The original door panels are in good shape and are dated September 9 and September 12, 1969. The code on the engine indicates that it was built on June 16, 1969 at the Flint Plant. The codes on the engine heads indicate that they were built on July 30 and August 1, 1969. The rear end code indicates that it was built on August 5, 1969.
The engine and automatic transmission are currently out of the car. I’m including some NOS (new old stock) parts with the car including driver’s side view mirror, weatherstripping and front chrome moldings that surround the two front lower grills (see photos).
Clear Florida Title in my name. Sorry, but I’m not interested in a trade. Serious inquiries only, please. Please reply by email, and include your name and telephone number. Thanks.
