Vehicle Description
As you can see from the pictures of this 1970 Jaguar XKE coupe it is a beautiful combination body color and its upgraded accessories such as the artillery wheels; we have always had a preference for artillery wheels on an XKE, we think that they add a certain amount of boldness to the car.
This car was purchased in 1975 with 30,000 miles on it and since then has been driven regularly. The odometer shows 8,767 and that is a real 108,767 but had a top end overalled at 97,000 miles. The car runs great and functions great and anything that needed to be done for safe and convenient driving has been along the way. This car is a lot of fun to drive and most of the miles have been on the highway.
Things that need to be done along the way in recent years include, a new fuel pump, new master and slave for the brakes and just recently a completely new ignition system at the cost of $4,000.00. A few minor things that could use work such as the clock, which is not working, one of the directionals work sporadically.
In reference to the interior, it could use a little TLC as you can see in the pictures. The carpeting is getting quite worn and the sun visors are stiff and do not function well and probably should be replaced. The car does have a few oil drips when it sits for long periods of time. Also, note that the headliner on the interior is original. The rear area behind the seats is very nice.
The underside is relatively tidy but would look a lot nicer if it was cleaned up and steam washed. This is a car that loves to be driven and the bottom side has never had a real cleaning.
We would suggest that you look at the pictures and we are sure that you will agree with us that the color of the car is one of its high points and contrasted with the chrome artillery wheels, this car has a great stance and will draw a crowd when parked.
Also, we do not answer texts and prefer phone calls show contact info .
Again, this 1970 Jaguar XKE coupe loves to be driven and brightening up the interior should be relatively inexpensive as much of the interior work was renewed several years ago and still looks very presentable.
