British Racing Green
Owned by my family for 25+ years, passed onto me by my father. An excellent project car, but unfortunately my career has left me far too busy to devote the time and care she deserves.
~50k miles reported on the paperwork when originally purchased, but odometer says 45k. Driven less than 10k since our family’s purchase so estimated around ~60k mileage total. Original paperwork on file to include complete vehicle history.
In 2019 we installed a brand new transmission, fly wheel, and disc—the clutch shifts buttery smooth. Black safety bar bolted down behind the seats. The transmission work required the seats and centerline radio console be removed, so it was a good time to start an interior refurbish although I never quite finished. Floorboards are double coated with an anti-rust/water primer then sprayed with a premium black interior paint. Still needs carpet laid/glued down, but I went ahead and reinstalled the original seats anyway because I was too excited to drive it.
Exterior is in great condition, there are a few small scratches requiring minor detail work/buffing out. Soft top needs to be replaced as there are two small holes no bigger than a fist, but who the fuck drives a sports car with the top up anyway?—Certainly not me so I never cared to fix it. Somehow lost the left headlight rim in the garage when I was looking for extra screws to tighten it, so need to get that ordered. Tread on the tires in excellent condition but recommend buying some fancy Goodrich ones for better taste.
Brand new battery installed but I just got back from a 9 month deployment so there’s a 99% probability it’s dead. The only real issue having it start beside that is having the carburetors drained, but I need this extra thick flathead screwdriver tool to do so but I just don’t have the time anymore to work on cars.
