Vehicle Description
This is a 1972 Ford Gran Torino “formal top” with factory 351W and factory C6 transmission. Ford 9” rear end.
Odometer says 46,572 and I don’t believe it has rolled over, but I can’t prove that it hasn’t.
• Original AM radio with single mono speaker rocks!
• New carpet and floor mats.
• New Steering wheel.
• New alternator
• All new vacuum hoses
• New fan belts
• New air cleaner
• Carb rebuilt in July
• New rear main seal
• All new suspension components within the last 3 years.
• New 3-gauge cluster this year.
• New brakes and brake hardware all around
• New calipers up front, wheel cylinders in rear
• Rotors and drums resurfaced
• New front wheel bearings and brake hoses
• All fluids have been replaced
Have original line ticket, warranty card and owner’s manual.
Original crushed-velour interior is in remarkably good shape for 50 years old although fabric starting to separate from seams on front seats. Springs a bit squishy but still do their job.
Headliner has a tear along seams in backseat area near rear window that has been sewn together but headliner does not sag. All dash lights have been replaced and dash lenses polished.
Factory color 4C (Ivy Glow) repaint this year with new laser stripe looks great. All new rubber and seals around the doors and windows, exterior trim removed and cleaned, rear window and windshield re-sealed and trim re-installed.
Tires purchased in 2019 and have good tread, no curb rash on the wheels.
Previous owner installed new Edelbrock RPM intake, mild cam and Summit Street and Strip 4bbl carb (600cfm) along with HEI distributor and chrome valve covers.
Exhaust consists of headers into 2.75 dual pipes with glass-pack mufflers into 3-inch tips. Engine runs excellent, fires right up and sounds great – very fast car. Undercarriage has some surface rust.
Windshield has scratch from rock or sand stuck under wiper is what it looks like – passenger side.
Rare car that has complete documentation and original paperwork along with original sets of keys with stamped metal key tag. Would be great to take to shows, it always gets lots of attention wherever it goes. I have not seen one like this except in “classic” showrooms online for double or triple what I’m asking.
Hate to let it go but have two others to build and I want someone else to get a chance to enjoy it.
Test drives only with serious offer - payment in hand.
