Vehicle Description
Up for sale is a 1974 International Harvester Travelall 100 Custom (2WD).
I am the second owner. It is Sunburst Yellow with the Sage Green factory custom interior (high back front bucket seats w/arm rests). I have the original build sheet, owner’s manual, and dealer brochure. I have had it for 2.5 years now, it is my DD. I have had the paint refreshed in the original color, the interior is all original and in good shape (has all three rows of seats). I have done a lot to bring it back to some of its former glory, but please remember it is a 47-year-old truck and has its quirks – I have tons of pictures showing everything. There is an extensive list of things that have been done, most of which are outlined below, and although most things have been done, there are still a few outstanding things I left for the new owner (most of which I have the parts for already).
I LOVE this truck and drive it almost daily - starts right up, runs great - draws a crowd wherever it goes. I have another project (a 1972 4x4) that is almost complete so it is time for someone else to love and enjoy this one. These are becoming harder and harder to find and are going up in value rapidly, it is certainly not perfect, but you would be very hard-pressed to find another one like it. In fact, a 1970 Travelall just sold for $102k at the Barett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale.
If it needs to travel outside of my area here in Florida, I can help with the arrangements as I have a very competent transport company that has moved a dozen cars for me - reasonable, reliable. I can also assist with some contacts for financing should that be needed.
Here is a listing of some of what has been done:
engine - rebuilt carb, new master cylinder, new brake booster and lines, new brake pads, rotors turned, new electronic ignition, new a/c compressor and lines, new mufflers and pipes, new fuel and oil pump, new fan assembly, belts, wires, new rear/main seal, new battery, etc.
exterior/body - paint refresh in original Sunburst Yellow, new textured top paint, new wood grain inlay, new windshield, new window tint, new custom rear leaf springs, new front coils, bulbs, new wipers, etc.
It also has a brand new set of BFG KO2 31x10.5x15 tires with less than 1500 miles on them and a bunch of other stuff I am sure I forgot.
I am happy to talk shop about the 74 at any time, but these are not for the faint of heart - no tire kickers or low ballers - I DO NOT have to sell this, I just don't need two of them and would like it to go to someone who will love it as much as I do :)
