Vehicle Description
1976 MGB in great running condition.
I own a shop named Gerry’s Service in East Amherst where we service and repair MG’s and other classic cars. I own this car personally, my staff and I went over the car and performed some repairs to make it road ready. Mechanically it’s in very good shape, starts right up cold or hot, idles smooth, accelerates and cruises well. Brakes feel good and over all appear a few years old and in good condition. Tires are also good and I’m told about 4 years old, certainly plenty of use left in them.
Interior is in good condition and very comfortable with seats that have some minor wear but no tears. It would look a lot better with a little clean up and some TLC but over all inside is in pretty nice condition.
The body is very solid and straight, except for two minor rust spots the rest shows no other rust problems. The paint was originally a butterscotch color that was repainted blue, it’s believed poor paint prep work caused the paint to peel, there original paint exposed seems to be in decent condition. The convertible top needs some attention or removal, certainly we see many of these with no top since these cars are rarely driven in the rain.
The Stereo still works and sounds pretty good. There is a cassette player that was not tested.
The car could be purchased and driven as is , used for as a small project car or for complete restoration.
I’m very motivated to sell this car, unfortunately I have no where to keep it this winter so make me an offer!
