Vehicle Description
1978 MGB (painted red), with shaved marker lights and door handles. The car is unique and fun to drive. At this time the MGB will initially fire when started, but will not hold idle - believed to be a stuck float in the carburetor. Since my work schedule has increased, I do not have time to fix the car and I hate to see it sitting. Would like to sell to someone who loves the classics and does not mind working on them. Will be happy to answer any questions.
Odometer reads about 65,000 miles (should be 165,000)
Transmission - No problems and shifts great
Oil - Good, but will need a standard change soon
Tires - All in good shape (the spare is flat and should be replaced)
Vehicle Jack - Original as shown
Convertible Top - In great condition
Vehicle Entry - Gained through the vent windows due to the shaved door handles (or just leave the top down)
3 Months Ago - Car was running great, responsive, and easy to drive. Then the idle started getting a bit tough to hold without stalling. Now the car will start, but the gas has to be held down to keep running. The carburetor float is the most likely culprit.
Shipping - Cost for shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
