Vehicle Description
Selling my 1984 Cadillac DeVille. Runs and drives very well for it's age. I've owned it for a few years and have done an extensive amount of work to it since purchasing it from the original owner. While not perfect, I'd feel comfortable driving it anywhere
Since purchasing, I've done the following-
Professional repaint in factory correct 2 tone color combo (Light/Dark beech Firemist metallic)
Rust repair behind the sail panel as well quarter panels. (water was getting into the trunk)
New Landau roof in dark briar brown (the original top was in poor shape and removal was required anyway to repair rust)
New brake lines (the only 2 brake lines I did not replace were from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve because they were in great shape) The other lines along the rear axle, from the valve to the rear hose, and to each front hose are all brand new.
New rear wheel cylinders & shoes. Rebuilt front calipers. All 3 hydraulic brake hoses were replaced. The car had the original hoses that were very dry.
Factory correct rebuilt symphony sound radio. NOS front and rear speakers. New power antennae (the original was missing and at the time I couldn't locate one that wasn't 500 dollars so I got an aftermarket one and wired it to operate as the original did)
New windshield (Aftermarket glass. I was unable to locate an NOS one and the original had a long crack along the bottom)
Replaced headliner
Repaired power seat motor
As stated above the car is not perfect. The front bench seat is worn, although the rear seat is in very nice condition. The dashboard has sun cracks. The A/C has been non-op since I purchased the car. Additionally the bottom of the inside of the drivers door has rust (PLEASE NOTE it is not visible when the door is closed) Occasionally the service engine light comes on briefly when going up a steep gradient. There is also a parasitic drain that I haven't looked into since I drive the car very infrequently. I installed a kill switch and shut it off if I let the car sit more than a day. Power locks only lock for some reason.
When I purchased the car I had been informed the following had been done-
Top end engine rebuild of the HT4100 at approx 55k miles
Rear level ride replaced with conventional suspension
NOS rear bumper
There may be a few small things that I have forgot to mention. Overall the car presents very well and there will be no surprises. I understand this is a very long ad but I believe it answers almost all questions. Please call between 7 am and 9 pm. Thank you
EDIT- to answer a question from someone who called- the car has a current and valid NYS inspection. This picture was from last year however the car looks just as clean
2nd EDIT- No I will not take PayPal, personal check, etc. Cash Only. Or I will go with you to your bank & accept a Bank Check and transfer the title there
