Vehicle Description
I purchased this Maserati Biturbo six or seven years ago from an estate in Ohio along with several other Italian cars. It had been in dry storage since 1990 and the car had not been started since then. I have recently retired and have too many projects and not enough time to finish them all…….. time to let it go!
The Maserati Biturbo is a 2 door coupe with a twin turbo V6 engine (2.5 liters) and a 5 speed transmission. There is no rust on the body or chassis. It shows 33,800 miles on the odometer. These cars were quick in their day with claimed 0 to 60 times of approximately 7 seconds. It weighs 2700 lbs.
Two years ago, I changed the timing belt, changed the clutch slave cylinder, flushed the gas tank, changed the spark plugs and changed the oil (Mobil 1). It started, but ran roughly. That’s as far as I got with it. I believe the carburetor will need rebuilding. I do have the passenger mirror and the piece of rubber missing from the rear bumper.
The car came with a rusty low mileage “parts car” that I have dismantled. The engine, transmission & rear end from this second car are available. All of these major components rotate and move freely.
Fix it up as is, drop a Chevy V8 in it or turn it into an electric conversion project.....
Emails only!
