Vehicle Description
Selling my 1988 bmw 325is E30. I bought the car from San Francisco California and had it shipped back to Chicago in May. It has 158,000 original miles with a working odometer. I drive the car quite frequently and it’s a blast to drive, it runs very well. As with any 30 plus year old car is has its issues but over all is solid. The body is 99% rust free aside from the battery tray, and still has its original faded zinnoberrot red paint. At some point in the cars life it was manual swapped as I found after decoding the vin number. Roof rack not included.
Pros:
-UUC DSSR short shifter linkage rod
-turner Motorsport shifter bushings
-garagistic strut bar
-new rear kyb shocks with new ecs tuning reinforcement plates included
-new rear wheel bearings just done at lukeg workshop
-new coil pack
-new spark plugs
-new spark plug wires
-previous owner installed a thrush muffler that sounds good
-small kicker sub and amp in the trunk
-sunroof and all power windows work as they should
-3:73 lsd
-
Cons:
-typical wear on drivers seat bolsters
-tires are worn out and one wheel has a tiny bend in it
-transmission has a whine from the output shaft bearing being worn out, pretty typical from an unknown mileage transmission being swapped into an E30. Does not affect driving performance.
-tiny bit of rust pictured from a leaky battery in the battery tray
-gauge cluster works, just the back lighting doesn’t
Overall this car is a great running and driving project car someone can drive and enjoy while they restore or modify it. Since the car is from California rusty and corroded bolts won’t be an issue. It’s a clean and straight chassis that needs some cleaning up. I have too many E30’s at the moment so this one unfortunately has to go. I’m asking $4,000. No test drives without cash in hand. Trades only considered for 325 or 328 manual E36. If I don’t answer leave a message and I’ll be happy to answer any questions. I don’t need help selling the car and no scammers!
