Vehicle Description
I purchased this car 3 years ago and have been in love with it ever since. The only reason I am selling it now is because I feel that I have had my fun with it, and now I am looking forward to buying my dream car, and FD RX7. The previous owner (I am the 3rd owner) had this car for over 20 years parked in his garage, and drove it once a year on a California road trip. I purchased the car with about 92k miles on it and it currently has 99k. Although this car is nearly 30 years old, the original paint is in extremely good condition, other than the front bumper. I purchased the car in San Diego and had all of the maintenance work done by Rocky's Miatamotive. He is one of, if not the, most trusted miata mechanic in California. His shop is directly attached to Goodwin Racing's shop, which is a huge parts provider for the entire miata family. Here is a list of work that has been done to the car since I purchased it:
- Timing Belt and Water Pump
- Miscellaneous Fluids, belts, seals and hoses
- Brake pads
- Clutch master and slave cylinders
- Used radiator installed (Rocky said the original one was pretty worn and he had a spare used one that had about 20k miles on lying around)
- New vinyl soft top
- Shifter rebuild with upgraded brass bushing
- NGK spark plugs and Jackson Racing red spark plug wires
- New tombstone and with cubby
- Stubby Antenna
- Powertrix Sport Street Coilovers with upgraded Swift Springs
- 15x7 Advanti Storm S1 racing wheels (I still have the stock 14x5 daisy wheels)
- Painted Valve Cover with High Temp paint
Things to note:
- A/C blower works, but it blows hot air. Should just need a recharge but I only drive the car with the top down in the summer so I never bothered taking care of it.
- The clutch is the original clutch from the factory nearly 30 years ago. It drives and shifts perfectly fine and Rocky told me that this clutch probably has another 20k miles before needing to be replaced (this was 7k miles ago)
- There are some slight chips in the paint but its hard to see unless you are up close looking for them
- The front bumper has some paint fading
Price is $4500 OBO, serious buyers only. Text/call Cameron for more info or to schedule a test drive
