Vehicle Description
This is the nicest factory Phase 3 1994 Toyota Sera available in the country. It is a rare late example of the sporty Japanese Domestic Market vehicle debuting in 1990 with the factory "butterfly" doors reverse-engineered by McLaren for its 1992 F1 supercar. Often called the Japanese DeLorean, this Sera is in great condition inside and out with just 72,150 original miles. Professionally imported and ready for a new owner.
The Toyota Sera Story
After wowing as a concept car at the 1987 Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota put the Sera into limited production in 1990 with its signature glass canopy and factory butterfly doors. Gordon Murray, Design Chief at McLaren, borrowed his neighbor's Toyota Sera back in 1990 to use as the basis for the doors on the iconic McLaren F1. The Sera was also the first production car with projector headlights and a factory optional surround sound stereo - the Super Live Surround Sound. Only 15,852 were produced in five years, with nearly all staying in Japan.
The nicest Phase 3 example in the USA.
Offered at $9,750 (+ttldoc for WA residents - OR residents are auto sales tax exempt). Call, text or email with any questions or to schedule a time to see it.
