Vehicle Description
Selling my AWD 95 astro. I bought it earlier this year and was planning on converting it into a camper over the summer; however, I started a new job and no longer have the time. I bought the van earlier this year and have only put on 3,000 miles on it.
When I bought it there was some mechanical work needed, since then I have completed the following: power steering pump, water pump, all the coolant hoses, front brakes (calipers, rotors, pads), thermostat, spark plugs + wires, distributor, vacuum line, oil change, transmission fluid + filter (new pan), differential fluid (front + rear) + new rear cover, new radio (with bluetooth). Now, the van is in excellent mechanical condition and should only require routine maintenance for the foreseeable future. I have lots of receipts and the CarFax from the second owner (who I bought it from).
The interior is incomplete as seen; the previous owner had it somewhat converted, but the work was not great. I've removed most of the previous installations, but have also left some others such as the flooring, cabinet/ table, and ceiling. The biggest thing is the door panels, but they are readily found at junk yards.
Negatives include some rust on the rear left wheel well (as pictured). This is a very common rust spot on astros, but it should be repairable with an afternoon, some bondo, and touch up paint. The front washer fluid pump is dead, not sure if the pump needs to be replaced or if it's just wiring. The weather sealing on the rear is not great and lets some water in. This is another common issue with astro vans, especially with the Dutch doors. I've seen people do DIY fixes with bulk weather sealers, but I can also provide a link to a manufacturer that custom makes a kit specifically for the astro.
