This is a 1995 left-hand-drive Defender 90. The car has been restored over four months with exceptional attention to detail. Most of the parts are brand new and with no miles and mirrored off an Arkonic design (starting price is $120k). The car has passed NY inspection and has NY plates and title.

This Defender 90 was originally made for the Italian Police and includes an original Land Rover T16 Engine. Land Rover considered offering these to the public as a “turbo” option in 1996. The engine has 25% more horsepower than the 200 or 300 TDI, runs at higher RPM and with lower torque. This makes the car ideal for road and city environments: my neighbor has a 300TDI and was blow away by the acceleration and highway performance.

The car was in Southern Italy until it was imported to the US in June 2020, no rust or corrosion given the arid environment and the fact that it’s the “youngest” possible classic defender that can be brought to the UNited States. It has New York plates and passed inspection in August 2020. This is an original engine with low miles after 25years. It is in great condition for 109k miles and runs well.
