Vehicle Description
Selling a 1997 Ford F150 4x4
Not a perfect truck but its a great truck for the price.
I am trying to be as honest as possible about the truck, I don't want you thinking its a perfect truck, just a good running, pretty good looking truck.
The Good:
Freshly rebuilt Transmission with new case and all from A to Z transmission in Troy MI. Less that 500 miles on the rebuild.
All new Rough Country Suspension with new Torsion Bars and a 3" lift, added a Rough country Front Sway stabilizer shock as well.
New Wheel Bearing in Front, new tie rod end links, new stabilizer bushings, new upper and lower control arms, new upper and lower Ball joints, new rotors, the entire front end was redone over the summer when we added the 3" lift.
Tow Mirrors, color match grille
New Drivers side Exhaust manifold, new Flow Master Exhaust, New Battery, New Cold Air Intake, put on a new (used rust free) bed over the summer,
Tonneau Cover
Good tires, New Rims in 2018
Strong 4.6L V8 with 163k miles, oil changed with full synthetic every 3000 miles since I have owned it. Radiator Flushed and cleaned.
No full rust holes
The Bad:
Its not perfect, it was in a small front end accident from the previous owner. The only remaining damage it to the front bumper mounting bracket. You can see in the pictures the drivers side bumper is slightly lower.
I replaced the fenders because it had the plain trim package I wanted versus the original, so the paint does not match perfect on them.
It has scratches on the bed, not sure form what it was that way when we got the bed. small amount of surface rust as shown in the pictures along with a few small dents. The head liner sags a little when cold as the inside temp warms up, it tightens back up. Mismatched steering wheel, original did not have tilt this one does.
I do not have the front drive shaft in right now, I have it but not installed, I actually lost the 4 bolts, can get then at Autozone.
The trans was rebuilt because the original front drive shaft rusted up and seized, it would not slide in and out so it cracked the trans case from the torque. Since then I just never put it back it, 4x4 does work.
Check engine light is on, it throws a O2 Sensor code because I dont have the CATS installed, we removed them when we had the Flowmaster Exhaust installed.
Truck runs great, this was my 18 year old sons baby but he is out of state for college and we got him a fuel efficient car instead. (plus he already has a second 4x4 project, he does not need 3 at his age)
$2900 or best offer.
